The National Rehabilitation Center (NRC) has selected and completed the purchase of 'REMOBODY-S' as a core measurement tool for gait analysis, assistive device evaluation, and the development of gait rehabilitation robots.
The primary focus of this implementation is the precise analysis of gait patterns while wearing assistive devices or robotic exoskeletons. As a markerless motion capture system, REMOBODY-S eliminates the need to attach physical markers to the body, minimizing interference caused by wearing gears or equipment. It captures 52 precise 3D joint data points, including angles, velocity, and acceleration in real-time, without causing discomfort to the subject.
This allows researchers to replace complex and expensive traditional motion capture systems with a more streamlined and accurate research setup. This case demonstrates that REMOBODY-S has proven its reliability and practicality in the fields of robotics and rehabilitation medicine, moving beyond simple posture analysis into advanced clinical research.
